Guys did you know we have a star in our midst.  A few months ago we learnt Jenny was a Tiger lover and traveled to Africa and now we learn Hailey is a champion Jui Jitsu competitor!  Here’s a few words from Hailey,

Recently I went to America to compete in the World Championships held in Long Beach, California, for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu , a sport that closely resembles wrestling (or if you watch UFC, the groundwork minus broken noses and teeth), as there's no striking or hitting involved. The level of competition was extremely high, with a difficult win by choking my first opponent unconscious, and an even more difficult loss where I was on the receiving end of a choke that rendered me unconscious, putting me at 3rd place for my belt and weight category.

America and the country was a cool place to visit, with many new and different experiences. While people may not be as friendly as they are here on the coast, you'll definitely enjoy exploring the American culture. Disneyland is a must-see theme park, as is Knott's Berry Farm, which in addition to being great for thrill seekers, has some of (if not the best) rollercoaster’s in America.

Well done Hailey and thanks for sharing your story, and don’t worry guys Hailey is a bundle of smiles and your safe to dance with her! Orch..............

Join us on Saturday night July 19th for some dancing at the Mooloolaba Surf Club. The band starts at 9pm and we will be there from 7.30 for a delicious bite to eat.  Everyone is welcome just rock up anytime.

We want to make the social dance night a semi regular night at varying venues.  Let us know your favourite dance place and we will check it out some time.

Mel has been missing in action, but she’s well.  Mel hurt her knee recently and it has required surgery.  Mel will still pop her head in and say Hi! Mel cannot wait to put her dance shoes on again.  We wish you all the best for a good quick recovery.

The anticipated Dirty Dancing DVD will be available in a couple of weeks.  We apologise for the delay in production. 

The annual Maroochy Roos Vs Noosa clash is back on!  Backbeat have been invited back to provide the half time entertainment.  Last year we strutted our stuff on the centre oval during half time, the experience was awesome and heaps of fun.  Ted has asked us back to do it all again.  Come join us on the centre oval, it is a fantastic experience for all dance levels.  More information to come.
