Backbeat moves into Townsville |
Ross T opened the dancing doors in Aitkenvale on last Sunday, 22nd March. As we know Modern Jive is danced to all the latest music plus your favourite 80’s and 90’s you can take Modern Jive to any disco, party, wedding, nightclub and shake your booty. Ross T has a smooth style that leaves the ladies wanting more so make sure you pop in and check out his classes every Sunday night at the PCYC Aitkenvale. This venue is Air Conditioned, very nice! Ray flew up last Sunday for the big opening, Ross and Michelle had a very sucessful first night, Big thanks to Cathy, Con and Terry for all of your hard work.

| Can you believe it has come around so quick! Backbeat this April started 2 years ago. We want to celebrate our birthday and have dance party. DJ Ray will be providing all the music so invite your friends as there will be an awesome mix of music for everyone. We also have the Ceroc Brisbane team coming up to perform a routine for you guys. There will be performances, competitions, games and dancing. So come and support us. Come dressed as your favorite actor/actress and walk the red carpet. (watch out for paparazzi's) Don’t miss an awesome night of dancing in April to celebrate Backbeat’s 2nd birthday. Make sure you come along because we will be playing a large array of music to suit the sunshine coast, including, rock n’ roll, jive, salsa and all the latest music for our Modern Jiver’s. |

We have also released our new monthly pass which gives you entry to our classes for a full month for $40.00. This is an awesome deal because during March it works out to be $8.00 per class. This new pass is excellent value for a normal 4 Sunday month you get in $10 per class and any month where there are 5 Sundays you get in for $8.00. |
| Modern Jive Cruise 09 - New dates to be released soon |
Need a holiday but don’t want to miss a minute of dancing? Now you can have both! The Annual Modern Jive cruise is on again and this year we are going to New Zealand. First we fly to Auckland and mix with the local Modern Jiver’s, go to a class in Auckland and then board the PO Cruise liner for a fantastic tour of the islands such as Noumea and then cruise on home where we enjoy dancing, dining, cocktails, movies, relaxation, pampering and more. | What a night - Dance Expose – Wellers Hill |
Dance Xpose - Ceroc Club Brisbane had a spectacular display of different dance styles from our friends of Ceroc and other cultural communities, this was the gala event of the year. Brilliant performaces were performed by Red Hot Rhythm, Groove Brazil, Scotia Highlanders, Ceroc Club Brisbane , Le Step, Bollywood, Brazillian Soul. Over 200 people attended, standing room only!

| Our regular Sunday Classes will be closed for Easter Sunday, 12th April. Classes will resume the following Sunday the 19th. But don't forget our dance party on the 18th, work off those easter eggs! |
