Maroochy-Noosa AFL Success

A Big Thankyou to the Backbeat Modern Jive Dance Stars!  That’s right guys you have dancing stars amongst you!  Backbeat dance crew were live at the Maroochy-Noosa AFL Annual clash on August 11th.

We had live coverage on Channel 7 Local News, appeared in the Weekender and were announced on HOT FM all day.  Thank you guys for your commitment and enthusiasm, you all looked fantastic and we look forward to more public appearances.

Sweet Escape Routine!

We know you guys are excited about the Sweet Escape Routine!  The countdown has been on for weeks now and Kimmy and Ray have put some smooth moves together that you guys are going to love.

If you haven’t signed up yet and want to,  just email us. If you have any doubts let us reassure you: this is a beginners/ intermediate routine.  That means, if you’ve done a few or more classes you can join in.

The benefits of a routine will accelerate your dancing into top gear! By focusing on styling and linking moves that have been choreographed by Ray and Kimmy to the Sweet Escape song by Gwen Stefani. Doing a routine is just like a 2 hour intensive workshop for 7 weeks.  We have also saved some new moves up for our more experienced dancers, so everyone will be challenged and will look good on the dance floor.

The routine starts this Saturday 2-4 pm and is at the Toombul Town Hall.  We ask you to arrive early for registration, doors open at 1:45pm. The 3rd week will be a re-cap class for those who will be away on the Ceroc Boat Cruise.

The Details are:

Where: Toombul Town Hall

Danby Lane, off Buckland Road, Nundah

(UBD Map 140, M2)

When: 2-4pm   please arrive early to ensure we start on time

Bring: Dance shoes, water.
